Nature futures for the urban century: Integrating multiple values into urban management

There is an emerging consensus that the health of planet depends on coexistence between rapidly growing cities and natural world. One strategy for guiding towards sustainability to facilitate a planning process based positive visions urban systems among actors stakeholders. This paper presents Urban Nature Futures Framework (UNFF), framework scenario building three perspectives: Nature, Society, as Culture. Our engages stakeholders with envisioning perspectives through four components using participatory methods quantitative models: identification socio-ecological feedbacks in cities, assessment indirect impacts biodiversity, development multi-scale indicators, scenarios. Stakeholders may use this explore different options integrating nature its various manifestations within areas assess how community preferences result cityscapes distribution associated benefits from dwellers across multiple scales.
